2011 Congregational Grants
Greetings from the Grants Committee of Diocesan Council-
Below are links to information about and forms to be used in the Diocesan congregational grants process for 2011. Please note the following:
- 2011 grants continue to emphasize funding for developmental rather than maintenance purposes and a focus on the three diocesan priorities of a) congregational development, b) adults under 35 and c) the stewardship of all resources.
- Congregations wishing to apply for a grant must first submit an "Intent to Apply" form. The deadline for submitting this form is April 1, 2010. Once submitted, congregations will be informed by May 1, 2010 about whether they will be invited to make a grant request.
- Those applying for smaller grants ($5,000 and less) will be using a shorter application form.
- The deadline for all grant applications is June 15, 2010. Congregations will be informed about whether they will receive a grant by October 15, 2010, before they approve their own 2011 operating budgets.
To get started, read the document entitled "Overview of Grants Process." This document describes the purpose of Diocesan congregational grants, the grants process and timeline, information about how to work with the application forms and the resources you can draw on as you complete your grant application.
Please call The Rev. Melissa Skelton, Canon for Congregational Development, at (206) 291-5001 or e-mail her at with any questions or you can call or e-mail other members of the Grants Committee listed in the "Resource" section of the overview document.
