THE BLOG!!!!

Well, here it is – my 1st Blog post!

The Archives may be a little late getting in to the social media game – but, after all, the ARCHIVES is where all the important stuff ends up – and sometimes it takes a while to get there!!So – the way I look at it, our timing is just about right!!

That said, let’s begin!!

Lights, Camera, Archives in Action!!!

First, I’d like to get one thing straight!  Archives ARE NOT dusty!! 

How many times have you heard the term ‘dusty archives?’ Whether in print, on film, or on the Internet – archives and dust seem to be inextricably paired!   Archives ARE NOT dusty and making ‘dusty archives’ go away, will be one of my prime objectives on this blog!! Archives are not dusty, they are not dead files, they are not piles of old stuff nobody cares about any more!! 

Archives ARE active; Archives ARE relevant; Archives Are Amazing!!

And the Diocese of Olympia Archives is all of this and more!!  I hope you’ll visit often to see just how much the Archives has to offer!!
