Baptismal Living, Baptismal Ethics
Personal, Communal, and Ecological
A day of reflection on the mystery of baptism and Christian life in the Pacific Northwest
The Forty Days of Lent call Christians to reflect on our fundamental identity as a baptismal people committed to the life of this world. We are thrilled to welcome Gordon Lathrop – internationally known scholar, pastor, and speaker on Christian liturgy and daily life – who will reflect with us on the mystery and mission of baptismal living within a highly secularized regional culture.
Workshops will be offered in the morning and afternoon focusing on the personal, communal, and ecological dimensions of the baptismal mystery. If you desire an oasis of personal renewal or seek practical ways in which the baptismal mystery might come to life in your congregation and in our world, join us for this day of prayer, renewal, and thoughtful conversation.
The cost of $25 ($10 for students) includes lunch, refreshments, printed materials, and childcare. To register, send an email by Saturday, March 3, to stephenshaver@gmail.com. Include your name, congregation, and hometown. Bring your registration fee (cash or check only) with you on March 10.
Enquiries concerning CEUs should be addressed to Fr. Josh Thomas at jthomas@ecww.org.
This event is sponsored by St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the PLU Center for Religion and Culture in the Pacific Northwest, and the Diocese of Olympia School of Ministry and Theology.
