This is an opportunity for people from all over the Diocese of Olympia to come together for a day, rich with valuable information and sharing. Ministry Resource Day will be held at Highline Community College in Des Moines on May 9, 2009. The theme this year is "Being Church in Anxious Times". Attendees may choose from a wide variety of over fifty workshops throughout the day that offer new ideas and material that you can share with your own congregation. There will be a break mid-day for a Eucharist, lunch and visiting. Britt Olson, Canon to the Ordinary for the Bishop of Northern California, who specializes in Evangelism, will be the guest keynote speaker. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the day will wrap up at 4:00 p.m. There is a registration fee of $25.00 that will cover the cost of lunch.This is one of the few times throughout the year that the Episcopal Church in Western Washington comes together as a whole community.
