Faces of children

The Diocesan Resource Center is a lending library serving members and friends of the Diocese of Olympia. The purpose and mission of the center is to provide general educational resources to aid and support the spiritual growth of the people and congregations of the diocese; to make available religious educational material, Episcopal Church materials, and audio-visual resource material to all members of the Diocese, both clergy and laity, and in addition, to function as the theological library for the Diocesan School of Ministry and Theology.

An Earth Ministry resource collection, including both videos and books, is also housed in our Resource Center. These materials are currently available to people who live in the Pacific Northwest or who will use videos in conjunction with Earth Ministry curricula. For more information about Earth Ministry visit their web site: www.earthministry.org

Networks for sharing ministry resources and gifts between congregations, and regions in the diocese are provided through the work of the Ministry Resource Coordinator who directs the work of the Resource Center. Leadership in these networks also comes from the Office of Faith Formation committees on children, youth and through the work of the Diocesan School of Ministry and Theology. The Ministry Resource Coordinator offers consultations for congregations and regions on-site or at the Resource Center for curriculum and/or resource selection and program development for all ages.

You are invited to make use of these services and resources for your personal enrichment and ministry, as well as the work of your congregation.
