Communications

Tell us your story! The Office of Communications provides support to the Office of the Bishop, helping the Diocese of Olympia share its story and live its faith through the creation of diocesan-wide publications, maintenance of the diocesan website and development of public relations efforts. The Episcopal Voice newspaper is published quarterly and mailed to each Episcopal household in the diocese (an electronic version is e-mailed in off months). The FYI monthly newsletter is geared toward clergy and lay leadership. Across the Diocese is a weekly e-mail newsletter of calendar events and special announcements of interest to all Episcopalians in Western Washington.

Having trouble telling your story? We're here to help. Ask about our Small and Simple grants program for ministries looking to improve their communication with the wider community. Or just ask about anything. We're a friendly bunch!

Publication Deadlines

Across the Diocese: Wednesday for inclusion in announcements for the following week (note: events typically run no more than one month in advance)

Episcopal Voice:
Quarterly issues:
Feb. 15 for Spring issue (April-June)
May 15 for Summer issue (July-September)
Aug. 15 for Fall issue (October-December)
Nov. 15 for Winter issue (January-March)

Off-month issues (February, March, May, June, August, September, November, December): 15th of the month prior (Jan. 15 for the February issue)
