Diocesan Council
The Bishop and Diocesan Council exercise the power of convention between annual meetings. The Diocesan Council is comprised of the Bishop, Bishop Suffragan, ten members (one elected from each of the ten Regional Ministries), three members elected by the Diocesan Convention, and up to six members appointed by diocesan program commissions. The Diocesan Council supports the Bishop’s administration of diocesan programs by developing policy, planning and evaluation. The Diocesan Council adopts an annual operating budget, which is presented to the annual convention for ratification. Members of the Diocesan Council also assume and accept the role of public relations and good will toward individuals and congregations facilitating connectedness within the Diocese.
